Randomise with purpose
Tap SEED to create a new ecosystem while preserving the parts you lock. Use Slight Mutate when you want evolution rather than replacement.
Procedural Sound Ecosystem · iPad
SEED turns your own samples into evolving sound through a serial ecosystem of procedural processors, probability, modulation and chance.
Not a preset machine. Not a conventional sampler.
The Ecosystem
Your sample travels through a serial path. Every stage can transform, react, modulate and hand the result to the next.
Tap SEED to create a new ecosystem while preserving the parts you lock. Use Slight Mutate when you want evolution rather than replacement.
When playback is stopped, the central SEED becomes a manual one-shot trigger and randomiser in a single tap. During playback, it returns to pure randomisation.
Probability lets processes happen sometimes instead of always, keeping movement organic without becoming static.
Modulation
Independent modulation provides shape, rate, depth, probability, target and free/synchronised timing — without forcing everything onto the same motion.
Serial Effects
PULSE reshapes rhythm. DRIFT destabilises pitch. JOLT displaces time. CRUSH destroys texture. They form a clear serial chain after the seven organisms.
Designed to Explore
Import your own audio, choose one-shot direction and sample cycling, work in free or synchronised time, record the result and save sessions for later.

About
SEED is an independent project created by sound effects designer, Peter Smith. It is built around a simple idea: sound tools should encourage experimentation, play and unexpected results.
